Regarding the candidates on the issue, it should be noted that Biden in the VP debate did take the following stance:
Biden in the debates: "Moderator: Do you support gay marriage? Biden: No. Barak Obama nor I support redifining from a civil side what constitutes marriage. We do not support that. That is basically a decision to be left to the faiths and people that practice thier faiths to determine what you call it."
I also saw his statement on the Ellen show and this is may be a difference between his personal beliefs and his stance as a legislator, but it is at least worth mentioning. Certainly with Politicians, it is never cut and dry!
