Fitchburg Library Operation Costs Referendum (2008)

The Fitchburg Library Operation Costs Referendum was referred to the November 4, 2008 ballot in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. The purpose of the referendum is to raise $965,000 per year to be used for the operating costs of a new library.

Also on the ballot is a measure intended to supply the construction costs of the library, once built. It was approved, while the operation costs referendum was defeated. See Fitchburg Library Construction Referendum (2008).

Defeated by approximately a 48% to 52% margin. [1]
