The Ellsworth Exceed Revenue Limits referendum is a school bond issue on the November 4, 2008 ballot in the School District of Ellsworth, Wisconsin. The purpose of the referendum is to exceed the state-set revenue cap in the amount of $900,000 per year over the next five years (totaling $4,500,000 overall), with funds going to the school budget. It is not known what the additional funds would be directed toward.
An bond measure aiming to raise $5,700,000 for the district failed in April 2008 - see Ellsworth Community Exceed Revenue Limit (2008). The earlier measure was also vague about what use the funds would be put to.
Actual Wording
BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the Ellsworth Community School District, Pierce County, Wisconsin, that the revenues included in the School District budget be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $900,000 per year beginning with the 2009-2010 school year and ending with the 2013-2014 school year, for non-recurring purposes.
