Edward Kasemeyer has been a Democratic member of the Maryland State Senate from January 14, 1987 to January 1990, and currently since January 11, 1995.

Kasemeyer earned his Bachelors Degree at Western Maryland College in 1967.

In 2007 Kasemeyer became the Majority Leader of the Maryland State Senate.[1]
