Durell Peaden (b. August 24, 1945) is a Republican member of the Florida Senate, representing District 2.
Education
Peaden earned his BA from Tulane University in 1968. He went on to receive his MD from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1973. He then earned his JD from Faulkner University Jones School of Law in 1987.
Professional experience
Peaden is a retired General Practice Physician.
Political experience
Peaden switched from the Democratic to the Republican Party on June 27, 1997. He served in the Florida State House of Representatives from 1994 to 2000. He then joined the Florida State Senate in 2001. He has served in that position since, representing the 2nd district.
