David Goodman (b. February 13, 1967) has been a Republican member of the Ohio Senate since 2001, representing the 3rd district.
Education
Goodman earned his BA in Political Science from Miami University in 1989. He went on to receive his JD from Case Western Reserve School of Law in 1992.
Professional experience
Goodman worked as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk for Judge George C. Smith, SD Ohio, from 1992 to 1993. He then worked as a Legal Council/Statewide County Coordinator for Voinovich for Governor in 1994. From 1993 to 1995, he was a Private Practice Attorney. He was then Assistant Attorney General for Ohio from 1995 to 1998. He has worked as Council for Taft, Stetlinius, and Hollister LLP since 1999.
Political experience
Goodman was a member of the Bexley City Council from 1995 to 1998. He served in the Ohio State House of Representatives from 1998 to 2001. He joined the Ohio State Senate in 2001 and has served in that position since. He represents the 3rd district.
