Dave Jones is a Democratic member of the California State Assembly, representing the 9th District since 2004.

Jones works as an attorney with Legal Services of Northern California, previously working as Special Assistant/Counsel to United States Attorney General Janet Reno.

Prior to his election to the Assembly he served on the Sacramento City Council from 1999-2004.

Jones is a member of the Sacramento Metropolitan Cable Commission, Sacramento Regional Sanitation District, Sacramento Solid Waste Authority, and Sacramento Transportation Authority.^[1]

Issue positions
