Daniel McGee (b. September 30, 1947) is a Republican member of the Montana Senate, representing District 29.

Education

McGee earned his BS from Louisiana State University in 1969. He went on to do his Post-Graduate Studies in Hydrology at the University of Montana in 1976 and 1981.

Professional experience

McGee was a Manager for Harp Engineering. He was also a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1971. He then was a Surveyor for Applebury Survey from 1976 to 1979. From 1979 to 1983 he was Owner of McGee and Company Geology and Land Surveying. He went on to work as Chief Surveyor of Christian, Spring, Sielback and Associates, Billings, from 1983 to 1987. He has been owner/president of McGee and Company Incorporated, Geology and Land Surveying, since 1987.

Political experience

McGee served in the Montana State House of Representatives, District 21, from 1994 to 2002. From 2001 to 2002 he was Speaker of the House. He then joined the Montana State Senate in 2002 and has served in that position since. He is currently President Pro Tempore, representing the 29th district.
