Chuck Gray {b. January 20, 1958} has been a Republican member of the Arizona Senate since 2006. He represents the 19th district and is currently serving as the senate's Majority Leader.[1]

Education

Chuck Gray earned his diploma from Mesa High School in 1976 and later attended Mesa Community College.

Professional Experience

Chuck Gray began working as a Mason, Foreman, and Superintendent for the Family Construction Business. In 1976, Gray became a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Spain for two years. Starting in 1990, Gray worked as an officer in the Auto Theft Unit of the Mesa Police Department. There, he served as a detective, patrol officer, Spanish translator, community relations officer, field training officer, and Drug Abuse Resistance Education Officer until 2000. Since 1997, Gray has been the Chair/Founder of Automotive Accessories Internet Company.

Political Experience

Chuck Gray began his political experience in 2003 by serving as a representative for the Arizona State House of Representatives until 2006. In 2006, he was appointed to the Arizona State Senate where he currently serves as the Senate Majority Leader representing district 19.

Personal

Chuck Gray was both born and raised in Mesa, Arizona and is currently married to Connie Gray with six children. Gray follows the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
