California Proposition 47 (1914)

Proposition 47 appeared on the ballot in California in 1914 as an initiated constitutional amendment. Its goal was to prohibit, for a period of eight years, ballot initiatives prohibiting alcohol.

Proposition 47 was defeated at the polls. It was on the same ballot as the Prohibition Amendment, which also failed.
