The California Vote Requirement (2008) (Initiative # 07-0019), also known as the Calfornia Non Partisan Candidate Qualification Act, is a statutory initiative measure to be submitted directly California voters.

If the meaure prevails, it will "mandate a runoff election when no candidate in a state or federal election receives more than 50 percent of the total votes cast for that office."
