Billy Hewes (b. October 27, 1961) is a Republican member of the Mississippi Senate, representing the 49th Senatorial District.
Education
Hewes earned his Bachelors from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1984.
Professional experience
Hewes has been Owner/Agent of Billy Hewes III Insurance Agency from 1985 to the present. He has also been a Real Estate Broker for Billy Hewes Real Estate since 1989.
Political experience
Hewes joined the Mississippi State Senate in 1992 and has served in that position since. He has been Senate President Pro Tempore since 2007, representing the 49th district.
