Betty Boyd (b. September 16, 1943) has been a Democratic member of the Colorado Senate since 2006. She represents the 21st district.
Education
Boyd attended Fairfield University in 1965. She also earned her BA in Sociology from Upsala College in 1965.
Professional experience
Boyd was Director of the Lutheran Office of Governmental Ministry. She also worked as Director of Campaigns and Development for Caring Connection.
Political experience
Boyd served in the Colorado State House of Representatives from 2001 to 2006. She was then appointed to the Colorado State Senate in March of 2006 and has served in that position since. She is currently Senate President Pro Tempore, representing the 21st district.
