The Auburndale Operational Expenses Referendum is a school bond issue on the November 4, 2008 ballot in the School District of Auburndale, Wood, Marathon and Portage counties, Wisconsin. The purpose of the referendum is to add $2,000,000 to the school budget over the next five years, above the state revenue limit. The additional funds would be used to help pay basic operational costs, and go toward capital expenses.

The yearly breakdown is as follows:

2008-2009: $300,000
2009-2010: $350,000
2010-2011: $400,000
2011-2012: $450,000
2012-2013: $500,000
Total: $2,000,000

Actual Wording

Be it Resolved by the School District of Auburndale, Wood, Marathon and Portage Counties, Wisconsin that the revenues included in the School District budget be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $300,000 for the 2008-09 school year, by $350,000 for the 2009-2010 school year, by $400,000 for the 2010-11 school year, by $450,000 for the 2011-12 school year and by $500,000 for the 2012-13 school year, for nonrecurring purposes to sustain educational programs and to pay operational and capital expenses
