Arkansas Amendment 1, also known as the Allow Bingo and Raffles by Charitable Organizations Act was on the November 7, 2006 election ballot in Arkansas, where it was approved.[1]

Text of the proposal

The language that appeared on the ballot:

A constitutional amendment providing that bingo and raffles, if conducted by authorized organizations (defined as nonprofit religious, educational, veterals, fraternal, service, civic, medical, volunteer rescue, volunteer fire, and volunteer police organizations), shall not be constitutionally prohibited as a lottery, provided the organization has been in existence for five years and the net receipts are used only for charitable, religious, or philanthropic purposes.
