Albany commission terms, Measure Z, 2008

An Albany Commission Term proposal, Measure Z, was on the November 4, 2008 ballot in Alameda County for voters in the City of Albany.
Measure Z asked voters whether they wanted members of various commissions, boards, committees and task forces who are appointed to those boards by the city council, to serve for an interim term of up to 45 days after certification of an election, or until reappointed or replaced.
Measure Z was approved with 80.55% voting in favor.
The ballot language was:
- "Do you approve the modification of Section 3.23 of the City Charter, as is fully set forth in the voter pamphlet, to provide that members of commissions, boards, committees, task forces, or other similar bodies, appointed by the City Council, shall serve for an interim term of up to 45 days after certification of an election, or until they are reappointed or replaced?"
