A Right to Bear Arms Amendment was on the 1994 election ballot in Alaska as a proposed legislatively-referred constitutional amendment to the Alaska Constitution. It was approved. It was on the ballot as Ballot Measure No. 1.

The language that appeared on the ballot said, "This proposal would amend article I, section 19 of the state constitution. This section now reads: 'A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.' The amendment would add this sentence to the section: 'The individual right to keep and bear arms shall not be denied or infringed by the state or a political subdivision of the state.'"
