Alan Sanborn

Alan Sanborn has been a Republican member of the Michigan Senate since 2003. Sanborn was re-elected to the Michigan Senate in 2006 with his term expiring in 2010. Sanborn is term limited in 2010. Before serving in the Michigan Senate, Sanborn served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1998 to 2002. Sanborn currently serves as the Assistant President Pro Tempore of the Michigan Senate a role he has served since 2003.
Sanborn graduated from Michigan State in 1979 double majoring in Social and Political Sciences. Sanborn worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer after graduation for nearly 20 years before becoming an elected official.

Alan is married to Lori Sanborn. They have three children and reside in Richmond, Michigan.
