Alabama Amendment 9 was on the November 7, 1998 election ballot in Alabama. It passed, with 69.8% of voters in favor.

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama, to authorize any city with a population of 150,000 or more, with the approval of the electors of the city, to establish trust funds for the long term benefit of the city and its citizens.
