Alabama Amendment 3 was on the November 7, 2002 election ballot in Alabama. It passed, with 66% of voters in favor.

Text of the proposal

The language that appeared on the ballot:

Proposes an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901 relating to the promotion of the production, marketing, use, and sale of sheep and goats and their products; provides a means by which members of the sheep and goat industry may organize and by referendum levy upon themselves assessments for the purpose of financing promotional programs; provides a means of collecting, disbursing, and expending any assessments; provides for the refund of assessments; and provides for the promulgation of rules and procedures.
